Abstract:
Provided is a liquid crystal polyester amide resin which has a good hue. Specific monomers are polymerized using a specific catalyst. The specific monomers are composed of: at least one kind of a monomer selected from among aromatic aminocarboxylic acids, aromatic hydroxyamines and aromatic diamines; and at least one kind of a monomer selected from among aromatic hydroxy carboxylic acids, aromatic dicarboxylic acids or aliphatic dicarboxylic acids, and aromatic diols or aliphatic diols. It is preferable that the content of the at least one kind of a monomer selected from among aromatic aminocarboxylic acids, aromatic hydroxyamines and aromatic diamines is from 0.1 mol % to 85 mol % (inclusive).

The powdery liquid-crystal resin preferably has a particle diameter distribution width as defined by JIS Z8825: 2013 of 3.0 or more and 12 or less. The powdery liquid-crystal resin preferably has an average particle diameter of 10 μm or more and 300 μm or less. The degree of crystallinity of the powdery liquid-crystal resin is preferably 20% or more and 70% or less.
Abstract:
Provided is a thermosetting composition that can be cured at a relatively low temperature and gives a cured product having excellent heat resistance. The thermosetting composition according to the present invention is a thermosetting liquid-crystal polyester composition prepared by melt-blending a liquid-crystal polyester (A) and a compound (B) with each other. The liquid-crystal polyester (A) includes at least one of hydroxy and acyloxy at molecular chain end. The compound (B) includes a first functional group and a second functional group in molecule. The first functional group is reactive with the at least one of hydroxy and acyloxy. The second functional group is thermally polymerizable. In the thermosetting liquid-crystal polyester composition, the liquid-crystal polyester (A) is preferably a liquid-crystal polyester that contains a monomer unit derived from an aromatic compound and has an average degree of polymerization of from 3 to 30 and a melting point of 250° C. or lower.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a powdery material for a 3D printer from which a high-density and high-strength three-dimensional shaped object having an excellent appearance can be fabricated, a three-dimensional shaped object obtained by using the same, and a production method therefor. The powdery material (X) for a 3D printer is a powdery material (X) comprising a polyacetal copolymer resin powder (I), wherein a percentage occupied by comonomer units among all constituent units (100 mass %) in the polyacetal copolymer resin is at least 1.0 mass % and at most 6.0 mass %, an average particle diameter of the powder (I) is at least 30 μm and at most 70 μm, and a melt flow rate of the powder (I) measured at a temperature of 190° C. and with a load of 2.16 kg is at least 1.0 g/10 min and at most 8.0 g/10 min.
