摘要: A system and method for photo-thermal imaging of a lateral flow immunoassay (LFA) device are provided. The system includes an intensity modulated heat source directed at a surface of the LFA device to selectively excite chromophore particles of interest and a thermal capture device configured to capture thermal waves emitted from the surface of the LFA device as a radiometric signal. A computing device, in communication with the thermal capture device, receives the radiometric signal and executes lock-in demodulation to detect surface or subsurface inhomogeneities of the LFA device.

摘要: A variable focus lens comprising: at least two substrates having a gap defined therebetween; a fluid material disposed between the at least two substrates to form a fluid bridge with a fluid bridge interface, the fluid material having a predetermined volume; and wherein at least one of a magnitude of the gap, the predetermined volume, curvature of the at least two substrates, wettability of the at least two substrates, and electrical stress state on the fluid bridge interface determines a working distance of the lens.
