摘要: The present disclosure concerns an emitter package for a photoacoustic sensor, the emitter package comprising a MEMS infrared radiation source for emitting pulsed infrared radiation in a first wavelength range. The MEMS infrared radiation source may be arranged on a substrate. The emitter package may further comprise a rigid wall structure being arranged on the substrate and laterally surrounding a periphery of the MEMS infrared radiation source. The emitter package may further comprise a lid structure being attached to the rigid wall structure, the lid structure comprising a filter structure for filtering the infrared radiation emitted from the MEMS infrared radiation source and for providing a filtered infrared radiation in a reduced second wavelength range.

摘要: Mid-infrared photothermal heterodyne imaging (MIR-PHI) techniques described herein overcome the diffraction limit of traditional MIR imaging and uses visible photodiodes as detectors. MIR-PHI experiments are shown that achieve high sensitivity, sub-diffraction limit spatial resolution, and high acquisition speed. Sensitive, affordable, and widely applicable, photothermal imaging techniques described herein can serve as a useful imaging tool for biological systems and other submicron-scale applications.

摘要: An integrated optical system includes a wavelength tunable optical source and a photonic integrated circuit (PIC). The PIC includes a set of spatial waveguide switches having an input optically coupled to the wavelength tunable optical source and a plurality of outputs. The PIC also includes an optical emitter having a plurality of inputs, each being coupled to a respective one of the plurality of outputs of the set of spatial waveguide switches, the optical emitter configured to produce at an output an optical beam having a wavelength dependent emission direction that changes as light is switched by the set of spatial waveguide switches such that the optical beam may be steered in two dimensions.

摘要: An indicator and method of use thereof, and indicator system and method of use thereof are provided to determine the degree of an oxidative treatment. An indicator is incorporated into the oxidative treatment. The object and the indicator are subjected to the oxidative treatment. A discoloration of the indicator occurs based on an oxidation of the polymer by a process condition of the oxidative treatment oxidizing the polymer. The discoloration of the indicator is measured against a threshold color value to determine the degree of the oxidative treatment.

An exemplary method includes: scanning a sample to produce a plurality of raw photothermal dynamic signals; receiving the raw photothermal dynamic signals of the sample; generating a plurality of second signals by matched filtering the raw photothermal dynamic signals to reject non-modulated noise; and performing an inverse operation on the second signals to retrieve at least one thermodynamic signal in a temporal domain.

摘要: A photoacoustic sensor (100) is capable of detecting a predefined target gas in an area (Um). A process is capable of detecting the target gas with the use of such a sensor (100). A sample chamber (3) holds a gas sample (Gp) to be tested. Electromagnetic waves (eW) from a radiation source (1) pass through the sample chamber (3) and the detection chamber (4). The waves elicit in the detection chamber (4) an acoustic effect, which is measured by an acoustic sensor (7). The acoustic effect is correlated with the concentration of the target gas in the sample chamber (3). The detection chamber (4) is fluid-tightly sealed, is free from target gas and is filled with a replacement gas (Eg). The transmission of the replacement gas (Eg) has a spectral response similar to that of the transmission of the target gas in a predefined target gas wavelength range.
