摘要： A fluid filter arrangement, with protection against external contamination, the filter arrangement comprising: a fluid circulating system; a filter cartridge having an exterior surface; a housing having an internal fluid chamber surrounding the exterior surface of the filter cartridge, an open end through which the filter cartridge can pass along a housing axis; and a cover sealed over the open end of the housing in a closed position, the cover in an open position exposing the open end of the housing, the cover including a fluid passage in communication with the internal fluid chamber in the closed position, the cover fluid passage being in communication with the fluid circulating system in the closed position and in the open position.

摘要： An epicyclic gear train including a central sun gear, an outer ring gear, and a number of planet gears which are mounted to a planet carrier. The planet carrier includes a centrally disposed torque transfer coupling with a torque transmission point at an axial end thereof. First and second carrier plates extend radially from the torque transfer coupling and are axially spaced apart to support the planet gears therebetween at aligned gear mounting points. The first carrier plate is closer to the torque transfer point than the second carrier plate. The second carrier plate has a stiffness that is greater than that of the first carrier plate.

摘要： A gearbox positioning device to position a gearbox relative to an engine case of a gas turbine engine. The positioning device has a first and second part, with the first part having a connecting cavity of predetermined shape and being secured to the engine case. The second part has a coupling post received in the connecting cavity and constraining displacement of the gearbox in a laterally transverse direction with respect to the central longitudinal axis of the engine. The device permits movement of the gearbox in the axial direction of the engine as well as angular movement to prevent stressing the engine case during thermal growth of the engine case or support linkage imbalance. A gearbox positioning system incorporating the positioning device and the method of attaching same to the engine casing is also included.
