The holding member includes: an undersurface portion that has a first opening portion into which the component is inserted and is placed on a bottom surface of the box; a top surface portion that has a second opening portion into which the component is inserted and is placed above the undersurface portion; and a first side surface portion connecting the undersurface portion and the top surface portion in an up-and-down direction. The holding member is formed by being bent along boundary lines between the first side surface portion, the undersurface portion, and the top surface portion, and is formed into two kinds of three-dimensional shapes that are mirror symmetric to each other, according to bending directions of the boundary line.

摘要： Transportation of articles such as gas turbine engines can be problematic in view of their size. Traditionally, articles such as gas turbine engines are transported on cradles associated with platforms and bases. It would be desirable to enable manipulation of height and width to allow the assembly of the article, such as a gas turbine engine upon the base to enter apertures such as doors in aircraft fuselages or for minimizing width for road or rail or sea transportation. By providing a cradle, having respective cradle sides projecting from a junction in association with a drive mechanism and each side of the cradle coupled to a pivot arm, control of rotation paths can be achieved. Thus, an article such as a gas turbine engine secured to a cradle arrangement can be manipulated between extremes and alternate configurations, defined by rotation paths, through elective association of one or the other of the pivot arms to the cradle and the base.

摘要： A fan shipping frame includes a frame assembly for supporting a loaded fan section of a jet aircraft engine. A plurality of caster assemblies attached to the shipping frame provide locomotive capability and adjustable height positioning so that a loaded fan section may be transferred onto the appropriate transport aircraft or vehicle. Rail members mounted on the frame assembly are alignable with rail members of a fan dolly so that the fan section may be directly transferred from the fan dolly onto the shipping frame. A template bracket integral with the shipping frame enables the fan section to be mounted thereon. A platform assembly rotatably mounted to the shipping frame may be deployed to enable the fan section to be tilted from a vertical transport position to a horizontal transport position wherein, the shipping frame may be transported in either position. A storage container mounted on the shipping frame stores the removed fan blades of the fan section in either position.

摘要： A container for storing and shipping outboard motors horizontally. The motor attaches to an H-frame by screwing the bolts on the stern bracket to a cross bar. Vertical cleats attach to the sides of a corrugated paperboard carton, and the cleats guide the H-frame into the carton. A hold-down pad formed by folding a blank of corrugated paperboard having scores defining a plurality of panels attaches to an end wall and engages the skeg of the motor to restrict pivotable movement of the motor during shipping and handling.

摘要： A shipping container for transporting a variety of aircraft engines includes a base, a cover and a plurality of engine-engageable support portions carried on the base which are at least one of vertically, horizontally and angularly displaceable with respect to the base of the container. The cover is disposable over the base so as to contain the engine therebetween. The support portions are preferably formed on the surface of swing brackets pivotally mounted to vertically adjustable riser brakets, which are telescopically received in corresponding riser support brackets, which are in turn horizontally slidably affixed to base brackets on the container base. The cover and base are externally dimensioned so that one container can be stacked atop another container, or moved by a forklift, and so that individual bases are stackable as well. The container thus reduces the shipping costs associated with nonstackable engine containers and with the prior art need to provide containers of different configuration for each type of engine to be shipped.
