摘要： Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to techniques and apparatus for determining a primary channel for wireless communication. According to certain aspects, a method is provided for wireless communications by an apparatus. The method generally includes obtaining an information element (IE) with one or more parameters and computing a primary channel location to be used for the wireless communication, as a function of the one or more parameters, wherein the function is independent of a geographical area in which the apparatus is located.

摘要： Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatus for detecting ongoing transmissions and assessing channel state, based on midpacket detection. One example method generally includes receiving signals on a primary channel; detecting, based on the received signals, occurrence or non-occurrence of a first ongoing packet transmission on a primary channel; and generating at least one of a busy signal or an idle signal based on the detection. In this manner, collisions may be avoided.
