摘要: To facilitate increasing power and resource efficiency of a mobile device, in the mobile device, with regard to periodic or one-time data transfers, a communication management component can analyze information comprising data transfer parameter information, including jitter information, associated with each application of a subset of applications used by the device and can desirably schedule and/or bundle data transfers associated with the applications to reduce the number of separate data bursts to transfer that data to thereby reduce use of wireless resources and power consumption by the device. A push notification system can receive respective jitter information associated with each application from the mobile device, and the push notification system can desirably schedule and/or bundle push notifications to reduce the number of separate data bursts sent to the device to reduce use of wireless resources and power consumption by the device.

The first mobile device issues the first location alert according to location monitoring rules of the first service provider which are stored in the first mobile device, and the second location alert includes identifying information of the first mobile device.

摘要: Provided are a paging method, a residential access network user plane (RAN-UP) entity, a residential access network control plane (RAN-CP) entity and a user equipment (UE). The method includes that the RAN-UP entity receives a data packet transmitted from a core network and transmits to the RAN-CP entity. The RAN-CP entity encapsulates the data packet in a paging message and transmits the paging message to UE. The paging message carries a first indication message for indicating the UE to maintain in an inactive state when receiving the paging message, and extract the data packet from the paging message. In another aspect, the RAN-UP entity receives the data packet transmitted from the core network and transmits a data packet arrival indication or a paging indication to the RAN-CP entity. The RAN-CP entity encapsulates the paging message and transmits the paging message to the UE. The paging message carries a second indication message for indicating the UR to emigrate from the inactive state and enter into an active state, and receive the data packet transmitted by the RAN-UP entity when receiving the paging message.

摘要: Some embodiments are directed to grouping electronic devices into contention groups to reduce uplink Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) random access (OFDMA-RA) collisions. An access point may explicitly assign an electronic device to a contention group, or the electronic device may implicitly determine an assignment to the contention group. To explicitly assign a device to a contention group, the access point may randomly assign or assign based on a criteria of the electronic device. Examples of criteria include an association identifier (AID), a traffic type/quality of service (QoS) category, a power saving preference, and an association status. The electronic device may implicitly determine a contention group assignment based on the total number of contention groups. The electronic device may use the explicitly or implicitly assigned contention group number to determine whether the electronic device may contend for a given trigger frame random access (TF-R) frame.

摘要: Methods and apparatus adapted to address asymmetric conditions in a multi-antenna system. In one embodiment, the multi-antenna system comprises a wireless (e.g., 3G cellular) multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) system, and the methods and apparatus efficiently utilize transmitter and receiver resources based at least in part on a detected asymmetric condition. If an asymmetric condition is detected by the transmitter on any given data stream, the transmitter can decide to utilize only a subset of the available resources for that stream. Accordingly, the signal processing resources for that data stream are adapted to mirror the reduction in resources that are necessary for transmission. The transmitter signals the receiver that it will only be using a subset of the resources available, and the receiver adapts its operation according to the signaling data it receives. The multi-antenna system can therefore reduce power consumption as well as increasing spectral efficiency on the network.
