Abstract: A device to perform audio signal equalization includes one or more processors configured to receive impulse response data corresponding to multiple audio channels. Each audio channel is associated with a corresponding microphone of multiple microphones of an audio device and indicative of sound propagation from one or more speakers of the audio device to the corresponding microphone. The one or more processors are configured to generate equalization filter data that is based on the impulse response data and that is indicative of multiple equalization filters. Each of the equalization filters is associated with a corresponding audio channel of the multiple audio channels. The one or more processors are also configured to process the equalization filter data to determine a playback equalization filter to be applied to an audio playback signal prior to playout at the one or more speakers.

Abstract: Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for manipulating a soundfield are presented. Some configurations include receiving a bitstream that comprises metadata and a soundfield description; parsing the metadata to obtain an effect identifier and at least one effect parameter value; and applying, to the soundfield description, an effect identified by the effect identifier. The applying may include using the at least one effect parameter value to apply the identified effect to the soundfield description.

Abstract: In general, various aspects of the techniques are directed to audio rendering for low frequency effects. A device comprising a memory and a processor may be configured to perform the techniques. The memory may store audio data representative of a soundfield. The processor may analyze the audio data to identify spatial characteristics of low frequency effects components of the soundfield, and process, based on the spatial characteristics, the audio data to render a low frequency effects speaker feed. The processor may also output the low frequency effects speaker feed to a low frequency effects capable speaker.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a network interface configure to receive an audio bitstream. The audio bitstream includes encoded audio associated with one or more audio objects and audio metadata indicating one or more sound attributes of the one or more audio objects. The apparatus also includes a memory configured to store the encoded audio and the audio metadata. The apparatus further includes a controller configured to receive an indication to adjust a particular sound attribute of the one or more sound attributes. The particular sound attribute is associated with a particular audio object of the one or more audio objects. The controller is also configured to modify the audio metadata, based on the indication, to generate modified audio metadata.
