Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer-readable medium for wireless communication are provided. In one aspect, an apparatus may be configured to determine a maximum scan time for passive scan of off line channels. The apparatus may be configured to passively scan at least one off line channel. The at least one off line channel may include a DFS channel. The passive scan may include a plurality of contiguous scans spaced apart in time. Each of the plurality of contiguous scans may not exceed the maximum scan time. The apparatus may be configured to receive a plurality of packets interspersed with the plurality of contiguous scans.
