Abstract: Aspects relate to outputting a training field signal and/or obtaining a training field signal over multiple radio frequency (RF) sub-bands. For example, a carrier bandwidth used by a first apparatus to transmit packets may include several RF sub-bands. The first apparatus may use two or more of these RF sub-bands to transmit a training field signal. In some examples, the first apparatus may repeat the same training field signal over multiple RF sub-bands. In some examples, the second apparatus may combine the training field signal sent over the multiple RF sub-bands.
