摘要： Provided herein are methods of inhibiting agouti or agouti-related protein (AGRP) in a cell or in an individual in need thereof, comprising administering to the cell or the individual an effective amount of an agent that induces corin expression, activity or a combination thereof in the cell or individual. The invention also provides a method of treating obesity in an individual in need thereof comprising administering to the individual an effective amount of an agent that enhances corin expression, activity or a combination thereof in the individual. Further provided is a method of treating diabetes type II in an individual in need thereof comprising administering to the individual an effective amount of an agent that enhances corin expression, activity or a combination thereof in the individual.
