摘要： The present invention provides a method for recording programs, a multimedia system and a network side device. The multimedia system includes a network side device and a plurality of nodes, wherein the network side device is configured to generate a recording task after receiving a recording request, and send in advance the recording task to each node in which a channel specified in the recording task is stored, and the nodes are configured to record a program on the channel specified in the recording task after receiving the recording task, and return recording result information to the network side device. According to the recording method of the present invention, when the recording is failed, inter-node mutual reconstruction and complementary recording can be performed, which greatly decreases the possibility of failure in the recording of the program, and provides the quality of service of more fluent TVOD for users.

The present invention relates to communication field, and solves the problem of poor quality of service caused by using a cold backup electronic programmer guide (EPG) server or transferring a user to other EPG server. The method includes: a backup electronic programmer guide (EPG) server receiving an obtaining instruction message sent by a service control manager, wherein the obtaining instruction message instructs the backup EPG server to obtain service information of a failed present network EPG server; the backup EPG server obtaining the service information of the failed present network EPG server according to the obtaining instruction message, and sending an obtaining response message to the service control manager after finishing obtaining the service information.

The service processing system includes a service processing manager and service processing agents, wherein the service processing agents are adapted to provide service for a service requesting device, and the service processing manager is adapted to receive and process a service acquisition request of a service requesting device, and allocate a service processing agent(s) for the service requesting device according to a load balance strategy. The present invention deconcentrates the pressure of the service processing system, prevents the system from probable breaking down due to heavy load, and thereby can improve the stability of the operation of the system.

Using the invention, supplier can use a variety of stream media devices expediently and provides services for stream media consumers more conveniently and effectively.
