Abstract: A technique for providing information transducing with a moving optical record medium so that a desired transducing resolution is achieved while preventing abrasion damage to the recording medium and build up of foreign substances in the information interface. This is accomplished by vibrating the medium into intermittent contact with an image forming means, which is enabled only during the contacting relation, to transduce information with the recording medium.
