Abstract: The specification describes a thermal treatment roll, e.g. for heating or cooling a textile yarns etc., wherein a rotor is mounted on a stator which is provided with a heating or cooling means. Between the stator and rotor is a connecting element of a solid, heat-conducting lubricating material, e.g. a ring or rings of sintered metal impregnated with a lubricating oil.
