Abstract: A system and method for detecting damage to a door system by detecting the presence or absence of a magnetic source attached to the door system for stopping motion or reversing motion of the door to prevent any further damage to the door system. For example, a roll-up type door may be damaged by a vehicle and pulled from its vertical support guides; detecting this event causes stopping of any motion of the door, such as opening or closing the door.

Abstract: An apparatus, a system and a method for removing porting, and using geometry to create a heat soaked surface area in an ice area related to door assemblies. Heat conducting material such as, e.g., aluminum, is used to conduct heat efficiently to prevent icing at the transition point between an end of a door panel and its vertical guide structures in applications where freezer environments must be maintained while permitting ingress into a freezer environment, egress from a freezer environment, or both.
