摘要： Method and apparatus for the measurement of mass or density and/or for the measurement of the humidity in a plurality of portioned units in a non-metallic carrier material, which provides the following: a microwave measuring instrument, consisting of at least one microwave resonator for generating at least one resonance mode in a spatially limited measurement area and an analyzing unit for analyzing at least one variable of the at least one resonance mode, a conveying device for the carrier material, which transports the carrier material with the portioned units through the measurement area, the microwave measuring instrument measures at least one variable of the at least one resonance mode at a time when only the carrier material without portioned unit is in the measurement area, and at a time when the portioned unit is at least partially in the measurement area, the analyzing unit subtracts the variable measured for the carrier material from the measurement values for the portioned unit, and determines a value of the humidity and/or of the mass or density of the portioned unit from at least one difference by way of an input-output map.

摘要： A device for testing the quality of rope-like materials in the form of yarns, rollings, fiber bands and the like employs a microwave resonator and devices for determining the displacement of the resonant frequency and the widening of the resonance curve due to the rope-like material present in the microwave resonator. Mechanical devices are provided for transporting the rope-like materials through the measuring volume of the microwave resonator. The microwave field is homogeneous in the measuring volume and the measuring device is a microwave generator constructed for measuring the mass per length and the moisture of the rope-like materials. Sensitivity of the device is improved by using metallic elements to concentrate the electromagnetic field in the measuring volume.

摘要： An exemplary embodiment of this invention relates to a method of inspection of a filled hard capsule sealed with a solvent sealing agent, including a process for determining the quality of the seal. The process may include: supplying a filled hard capsule sealed with a solvent sealing agent; supplying a microwave resonator wherein a measuring field having a resonance curve is generated; directing the capsule through the measuring field; measuring characteristics related to the modification of the resonance curve produced by the presence of the capsule in the measuring field, in comparison with a reference resonance curve corresponding to an empty state of the resonator; and using the measured characteristics to determine a value associated with the quality of the seal. Other exemplary embodiments of this invention relates to a method for sorting capsules on the basis of the result of the inspection method and to an associated equipment able to carry out such methods.
