摘要: In a method of manufacturing objects, extrudable ceramic forming material is extruded through multiple dies arrayed around an extrusion axis, the dies mounted to permit controlled movement of the dies during the course of extrusion to vary the position of several extrudate streams exiting the dies. Extruded objects are defined by spokes corresponding to the extrudate streams with the streams having a varying spacing from a central axis.

摘要: A system and method for extrusion of dough is disclosed. The system includes an auger for moving the dough; a metering pump comprising an input; a first motor for actuating the auger to transfer dough to the input of the metering pump; a first encoder for reading a position or speed of the first motor and for transmitting a signal associated with the position or speed of the first motor; and a controller configured to receive the signal from the first encoder to control operation of the first motor. The controller operates the first motor to at least partially counteract a variance in a pressure of dough at the metering pump based signals from the encoder and/or the pressure sensor.

摘要: A controller of a rotary compression-molding machine is configured to rotate a turret including a table including a die bore, and punch retaining portions vertically slidably retaining punches disposed above and below the die bore along with the punches, and to fill the die bore with a powdery material from a filling device disposed just above the table, to compress the powdery material filled in the die bore with the punches and to obtain a molded product. The controller is configured to adjust rotational speed of the turret and the punches to allow the powdery material in a feed pipe, directly connected with the filling device and configured to feed the filling device with the powdery material, to have a level of an upper surface kept within a constant target range.

摘要: A method and system for feeding a lubricating or releasing agent from a dosing station to one or more pressing tools arranged in a pressing chamber of a tablet press. The tablet press is configured with a feed pipe for feeding the lubricating or release agent from the dosing station to the one or more pressing tools of a pressing chamber of the tablet press and the feed pipe is configured with a shut-off valve disposed in-line with the feed pip for controlling the flow of the lubricating or release agent to the pressing chamber. The method comprises the steps of: producing a negative pressure with respect to the surroundings of the pressing chamber of the tablet press, measuring a pressure in one of the feed pipe and the pressing chamber, and issuing a signal indicative of the measured pressure and issuing an enable signal to open a valve in response to the pressure signal.

摘要: The invention relates to a rotary tablet press and method of operation. The rotary tablet press includes a rotor that is rotatably driven that is coupled to a die plate with holes. Upper and lower punches are assigned to the holes and rotate synchronously with the die plate. A pressing apparatus presses the punches into the holes to press the filling material added to the holes. An ejector apparatus ejects the tablets pressed into the holes. A control apparatus automatically changes the rotary speed of one or more components in response to changes to components of the rotary tablet press and process components upstream or downstream of the rotary tablet press.

The system comprises a die for receiving a powder to be compacted and a press member for compacting the powder in use within the die, the press member being actuable along a first axis under the control of an electronic controller. The die is moveable between a first location in which the die is aligned with the first axis for compaction and at least one further location spaced therefrom. The system may comprise a plurality of stations and a die guide to allow motion of the die between a filling and compaction station under control of the controller. The press member may be electrically actuated by a motor under electronic control.

A method of forming a composite component is also disclosed, the method employing a mold tool 204 that at least partially defines a mold cavity 212. The method comprises: placing reinforcing fibers into the mold cavity 212, forcing a matrix material into the mold cavity 212 through the reinforcing fibers, and generating a peristaltic pressure wave within the mold tool 204 during forcing of the matrix material into the mold cavity 212.
