摘要： A side bearing provides contact between a truck bolster and a railway car body. The side bearing includes a cage member mounted on top of the bolster. An insert member is fit within an opening in the cage member. A top member is mounted above the insert member for vertical movement relative thereto. The insert and top members have pocket sections that together form at least one pocket there between. Resilient devices, such as elastomeric unitary pieces, are positioned in each of the pockets for supporting the top member relative to the insert member. The side bearing components we configured to provide up to 0.625 inches of vertical displacement of the top member relative to the insert member.
