    摘要: Methods and apparatus are provided for measuring multiple operating parameters of a rotating shaft with a sensor. One embodiment of the apparatus comprises a sensor in close proximity to a matched pair of thumbnail depressions on the surface of a rotating shaft body. The thumbnail depressions enable the sensor to detect axial displacement and rotational speed of the shaft in addition to detecting radial displacement of the shaft body. Signal processing circuitry analyzes the sensor output data and computes separate values for the axial displacement, speed and radial displacement parameters. Additional filtering and signal processing techniques can be used to ascertain peak axial displacement, to reduce noise, and to compute other parameters, such as acceleration and power spectral density.

    摘要: A magnetic coupling is provided having a first shaft and a second shaft. A plurality of first magnets is in rotationally driving engagement with the first shaft and defines alternating polarity magnetic surfaces. A plurality of second magnets is in rotationally driving engagement with the second shaft and defines alternating polarity magnetic surfaces. The first and second magnet surfaces are separated by a gap so that rotation of one of the first magnets and second magnets urges synchronous rotation of the other. An electrically conductive member is in rotationally driving engagement with the second shaft and is disposed proximate to the first magnet surfaces so that rotation of the conductive member or the first magnets relative to the other induces electric current in the conductive member and urges asynchronous rotation of the other of the conductive member and the first magnets in the same rotational direction.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for ink jet printing on textiles is disclosed, wherein the steps of pre-treating, ink jet printing, and post-treating the textile takes place at the ink jet printer. A preferred method includes the steps of applying a pre-treat to the textile, evaporating excess water from the pre-treat, ink jet printing a pattern on the pre-treated textile, evaporating water from the ink in the pattern, applying a binder/post-treat to the pattern and curing the binder. The textile printing apparatus prints on an untreated textile by having a first application device to apply a pre-treat aqueous solution to the textile. A first heating element is arranged to evaporate most or all of the water from the pre-treated textile as it passes. An ink jet printer then accepts the pre-treated textile and prints the desired pattern on it. A second heating element at the output of the printer evaporates water from the ink in the pattern as the printed textile passes. A second application device applies a binder/post-treat to the printed textile after the ink evaporation. A third heating element dries and cures the binder/post-treat.
