Abstract: The present invention provides a pedestal docking station including an upwardly extending pedestal having an upper end, a base section, and a center of mass; an upper mounting member coupled to the upper end of the upwardly extending pedestal to receive the notebook computer in an elevated, supporting relationship at least four inches above a work surface with a center of mass of the notebook computer in substantial vertical alignment with the center of mass of the upwardly extending pedestal; and port replicator components coupled to the upper mounting member, the port replicator components corresponding to input/output ports of the notebook computer and including connections for attachment to supporting peripheral components.

Abstract: A multi-function personal computer apparatus includes a personal computer enclosed in a first housing, a multi-function peripheral unit enclosed in a second housing, a mechanical coupling device for mechanically coupling the first housing and the second housing together to form an integral unit, and an electrical coupling device for electrically coupling the personal computer and the multi-peripheral unit together. Alternately, the personal computer and the multi-function peripheral unit may be in the same housing. The personal computer and the multi-function peripheral unit may together form a portable unit.

Abstract: The invention, in one embodiment, is an image storage method comprising receiving a first image; outputting a likeness of the first image on a media based on the first image; and placing an encoded representation of the first image on the media based on the first image. In another embodiment, the invention is an image storage method comprising receiving a first media including an encoded representation of an image; and replicating a likeness of the image on a second media based on the encoded representation of the image. In a further embodiment, the invention pertains to an image storage media, the media comprising a first surface adapted for displaying a likeness of an image; and a second surface configured for storing an encoded representation of the image, the first and second surfaces being in communication with each other. In yet another embodiment the invention pertains to an image processing system comprising means for receiving a first image; means for printing a likeness of the first image on a media; and means for storing an encoded representation of the first image on the media.
