Abstract:
In a method and printing apparatus, a receiver is moved in a travel direction relative to a print engine. The print engine has a predetermined profile of smear in the travel direction at a plurality of sites on the receiver. Each site corresponds to a respective one of the pixels. A digital image to be printed with the print engine is received and digitally filtered based on the profile to provide a filtered image. The filtering is localized, non-symmetrical, and at least partially compensatory of the smear. As the receiver is moved, the filtered image is printed on the receiver, the printing being modulated in accordance with the filtered image.

Abstract:
A system for generating and altering an image display using live camera input. A camera coupled to the display and to a controlling computer system detects a person observing the display and displays the person observing. The computer system controls the display and includes a processing system capable of modifying the captured digital image to illustrate the person using a product. The system can be disposed in a storefront window for viewing by persons in a public space and the camera is disposed to capture an image of the person in the public space.
Abstract:
A computer implemented method of generating a scoreboard display comprising capturing and storing digital images at an entertainment venue during an entertainment event, selecting at least one of the captured images including selecting at least one template within which to dispose the selected image, and displaying on the scoreboard the template and the at least one selected digital image disposed therein. The captured image preferably includes a person attending the entertainment event and can be a motion image or a live motion image.
Abstract:
A method of automatically selecting a number of secondary images and a display template for display with a primary preselected image based on analyzing the primary image's attribute information and comparing the secondary images attribute information and the templates image attribute requirements. The attribute information is used to evaluate a compatibility of the images and template so that a best compatibility fit can be obtained when displaying the images.
Abstract:
A system for automatically selecting a template and a number of secondary images for display with a primary preselected image based on analyzing the primary image's attribute information and comparing the template's required image attributes and secondary image's attribute information. The attribute information is used to evaluate and arithmetically score a compatibility of the images and template so that a best compatibility fit can be obtained when displaying the image.
Abstract:
A system storing digital templates for an image display. The template has a plurality of digital openings for displaying digital images and each opening has at least one corresponding required attribute that is digitally stored in association with its corresponding opening. At least one designated image for display in at least one of the openings is identified and stored. The designated image has image attributes that are used to select complementary images from a database to be stored in other openings of the template.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for creating a coordinated image display. A computer system comprising stored digital templates for said image display can be operated by a user to generate the image display. The templates each have a plurality of digital openings for displaying digital images and each of those openings has a required image attribute. The group of required attributes for the openings are stored as a template recipe. The template recipe includes a required image attribute for a dependent opening. The dependent opening is dependent on an image attribute of an image captured by a capture device coupled to the computer system, which includes scanners and cameras. The captured image can be of a paint swatch, a fabric, furniture, carpeting, or any other item or image.

Abstract:
A computer system coupled to a digital image database with images having image attributes. The image attributes are automatically evaluated in order to find a compatible digital template from a digital template database. The templates each include a plurality of windows for displaying the digital images and each of the template include template attributes to automatically select a template whose attributes are compatible with at least one of the image attribute. The data base of digital images is also automatically searched for additional images having an attribute compatible with the template attributes and with the first one of the image attributes. A display screen coupled to the computer system displays the selected template and at least one other image.
