摘要: A method of applying a braze component to a honeycomb structure may comprise: applying at least a partial vacuum within a chamber, the chamber defined at least partially by a vacuum device and a cover, the honeycomb structure disposed within the chamber, the braze component disposed between the honeycomb structure and the cover; pulling the cover towards the braze component in response to applying the partial vacuum; and pulling the braze component into a plurality of hexagonal cells defined by the honeycomb structure in response to pulling the cover towards the braze component.

摘要: Disclosed herein is an additive manufacturing system that includes an energy source, a powder supply, and a build chamber. The build chamber includes a base plate and two or more variable build plates coupled to the base plate. The two or more variable build plates each have one or more adjustable features. The two or more variable build plates are configurable to position two or more parts at different heights relative to a top level of the build chamber. The additive manufacturing system also includes a control system configured to control the energy source to fuse material from the powder supply to at least one of the two or more parts while the two or more parts are respectively positioned by the two or more variable build plates at different heights relative to the top level of the build chamber.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a gauge for slurry coating thickness determination. The gauge includes a body and at least three probes extending from the body. The at least three probes provide a go-no-go indicator including a first demarcation that defines a minimum slurry coating thickness and a second demarcation that defines a maximum slurry coating thickness. A minimum no-go region is defined between the first demarcation and a probe tip, a maximum no-go region is defined between the second demarcation and the body, and a go region is defined between the first demarcation and the second demarcation.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a system for slurry coating leveling. The system includes a guide frame and a scrapper apparatus coupled to the guide frame. The scrapper apparatus includes a plurality of scrapper fingers aligned substantially parallel to each other. The system also includes a contour guide coupled to the scrapper fingers. The contour guide is configured to guide movement of the scrapper fingers across a surface of a component having a slurry coating. The scrapper fingers conform to a contour profile of the surface to level the slurry coating on the surface of the component.
