Abstract: A set of masonry blocks comprises a rectangular basic block having a basic length dimension L, a width B and a height H and including lateral end sides comprising a joining portion including a recess which defines a portion of a first cylinder, and being adapted to contact adjacent masonry blocks at matching joining portions thereof. The set further includes rectangular end blocks one lateral end side of which comprises a joining portion identical to the joining portion of the basic block, and another lateral end side of which comprises a closed masonry-wall termination surface. The rectangular end blocks include a three quarter end block having a length equal to three quarters of L, and a one quarter end block having a length equal to one quarter of L, The set further includes a hinge block having a length equal to L plus an extension amount X, the hinge block further having a cylindrical portion attached to a rectilinear portion which includes a joining portion identical to the joining portion of the basic block, the cylindrical portion including an outer contour defining a portion of a second cylinder having a second radius R equal to the first radius and adapted to mate with a corresponding recess of an adjacent joining portion, where 2R=B+2X, the outer contour of the cylindrical portion thereby extending beyond the width B of each masonry block on each side thereof by an amount equal to the extension amount X.

Abstract: A concrete paving stone adapted to be disposed in circular and elongate paving configurations. The paving stone includes at least two side walls and a substantially planar upper face, each of the side walls being an arched side wall and including an elevated face at a center region thereof which comprises an abutting surface and two associated wedge surfaces adjoining the abutting surface on both sides thereof. The associated wedge surfaces extend from the abutting surface to an associated arched side wall. The elevated face further extends across a substantial portion of a length of the associated arched side wall and is effective for creating a fixed abutment between adjoining arched side walls of adjoining paving stones in a paving configuration.

Abstract: A paving stone configured to be arranged in a paving stone bond in an area-covering grid-shaped lattice of paving stones comprised of lattice elements. The paving stone has side walls and includes a plurality of spacers disposed on the side walls thereof. Each of the spacers has an abutting surface adapted to be positively joined to a respective abutting surface of a spacer on an adjacent paving stone in the lattice of paving stones. Abstract: The side surfaces of compound stones are provided with relatively flat elements which interlock with little play when said stones are laid out, while adjoining side surfaces of neighboring stones are in contact along two lines only. A compromise between a sufficient mutual securement of the stones and a certain mutual mobility thereof is thus obtained. In particular, a certain tilting of neighboring stones with respect to each other is possible, whereby it is possible to produce pavements in uneven places.
