    摘要: A construction component provides structural reinforcement of structures built therewith, by embedding an internal support structure within a substrate component such as a cast concrete block during fabrication of the construction component. The embedded internal support structure can include interface plates that are structurally coupled to the internal support structure and are made accessible outside of the substrate to permit the internal support structures of the individual construction components to be mechanically tied together in constructing a structure therewith. The internal support structure can be triangular, and can be coupled together using threaded bolts, rivets or welds. The substrate block is formed with vertical channels to provide access to the interface plates of components being coupled during construction. Wall structures may be constructed through standard, non-standard and specialty components of the invention to create an integrated internal reinforcement lattice that permeates the wall structure, and that can be coupled to a foundation to create structures having superior lateral reinforcement.

    摘要: A modular masonry system includes a plurality of masonry modules each having inner and outer structural members. Top and bottom spanning members extend the length of the inner and outer structural members and are retained within respective upper and lower retaining grooves of the inner and outer structural members. The top spanning member includes a second retaining feature that cooperates with a first retaining feature of the bottom spanning member of an adjacent masonry module. An insulation member is disposed within an interior volume defined between the inner and outer structural members and the top and bottom spanning members. The first retaining feature of each bottom spanning member slidably engages the second retaining feature of at least one vertically adjacent top spanning member. The engagement of the first and second retaining features aligns and secures the engaged masonry modules without the use of mortar.

    摘要: A free-standing wall includes concrete base blocks adjacent to each other forming a base course; a first set of concrete wall blocks stacked on the base course and on each other to form a first wall face; and a second set of concrete wall blocks stacked on the base course and on each other to form a second wall face that faces the opposite direction from the first wall face and that has the same number of courses as the first plurality of wall blocks. Methods of constructing the wall arrangement include laying the base blocks next to each other end to end; stacking individual blocks of a first set of blocks on the base course and then on each other to form a first wall face; stacking individual blocks of the second set of blocks on the base course and then on each other to form a second wall face that faces a direction opposite of the first wall face.

    摘要: Interlocking construction blocks are provided, having a tongue and groove configuration, attachable together by pressing the tongue of one block into a groove of another block. Multiple blocks may be adapted to be interlocked together forming a structure, such as a wall. Blocks comprise first and second opposing sidewalls integrally connected together by first and second pairs of opposing connecting walls. The first and second sidewalls comprise a lower portion integrally connected to an upper portion. The lower portion comprises a pair of opposing lower portion sidewalls integrally connected to a pair of opposing lower end walls. The upper portion comprises a planar top surface, a pair of opposing upper portion sidewalls and a pair of opposing upper portion end walls integrally connected via upper portion angular walls. The upper portion sidewalls, upper portion end walls and upper angular walls may have a beveled or tapered surface.
