Abstract:
A decorative stand for holding compact discs allows the discs within their cases to be individually held in a manner which facilitates their placement and removal. The decorative stand comprises a set of at least three translucent rods, a housing to hold lower ends of the rods in an upright fashion and a cap to stabilize the upper ends of the rods. Each of the rods has a set of notches in a side wall so that then the rods are properly arranged, the notches are in alignment to cooperatively hold three edges of each compact disc case. The disc cases can be readily slid into and out of the notches as needed. Illumination means within the housing are used to transmit light up through the rods to provide a pleasing appearance.
Abstract:
A folding camera including a plurality of housings pivotally coupled to each other for movement between a folded inoperative position and an extended operative position wherein image-bearing light rays are directed toward a length of film supported within one of the housings for photographically exposing the same. Another of the housings carries a source of artificial illumination, e.g., a strobe, which is adapted to move automatically into an erected operative position as the housing moves into the extended operative position. During such movement, the source of artificial illumination moves into engagement with one of the housings to thereby releasably latch the camera in its extended operative position. Movement of the source of artificial illumination in the opposite direction is used to rotate a mirror toward a fully down or non-reflecting position.
Abstract:
An instant type camera having first and second film engaging means for moving an exposed film unit from a film cassette to a film storage chamber. The second film engaging means is mounted for movement from a position on the entry side of a pair of spread rollers to a position on an exit side of the spread rollers. During such movement, the second film engaging means engages a trailing edge of an exposed film unit as it emerges from between the spread rollers and moves it into the storage chamber.
Abstract:
A instant camera of the type which receives film assemblages having stacked film units of the self-developing type. The camera is provided with a pair of spread rollers which engage an exposed film unit to spread a processing liquid between layers of the film unit while simultaneously moving it into a storage chamber having a viewing window. An opaque shade for the window is located adjacent the exit side of the spread rollers. The shade is adapted to be moved into covering relationship to the window and/or the exposed film unit for a predetermined period of time after it exits from the bite of a pair of spread rollers and then returned to its noncovering position. This time is sufficient to allow a treated portion of the film unit to remain in the dark unit its length reaches a predetermined value. At this length there will no longer be any danger of actinic light being piped along the length of the film unit until it reaches an untreated portion of the film unit that is still at the entrace side of the spread rollers.
Abstract:
A variable focus lens capable of being moved within and outside of its normal focusing range by a manual and an automatic focus control system is provided with spring force biasing means to urge said lens into its normal focusing range to avoid the possibility of said lens being misfocused by said automatic focus control system.
