    摘要: A protection system includes a net made of flexible, low breaking strength intersecting lines connected at nodes. A frame supports the net and spaces the net from a vehicle and/or structure. Hard points are disposed at least at select net nodes and feature a multi-sided body with a cavity therein behind a front face thereof. The body includes a lip extending into the cavity. A protrusion extends outwardly from the front face. A tapered plug is received in the cavity and includes a ledge engaged by the lip locking the plug and a net node in the cavity and securing the hard point to the net node in a pivotable fashion.

    摘要: A voltage level shifting device for translating a lower operating voltage to a higher operating voltage includes a first input node coupled to a first pull down device and a second input node coupled to a second pull down device. The second node receives a complementary logic signal with respect to the first input node, the first and second input nodes associated with the lower operating voltage. A first pull up device is in series with the first pull down device and second pull up device is in series with the second pull down device, with the first and second pull up devices coupled to a power supply at the higher operating voltage. An output node is between the second pull down device and the second pull up device, the output node controlling the conductivity of the first pull up device. A clamping device is in parallel with the first pull up device, and configured to prevent the second pull up device from becoming fully saturated.

    摘要: An outboard jet drive marine system for a boat comprising a housing. The housing is adapted to be affixed behind a hull of a boat. An engine is disposed within the housing. A jet drive unit is mounted to the housing in parallel to and vertically oriented to the engine, and is operatively coupled to the engine. The engine has an exhaust and cylinders, and a turbocharger operatively coupled between the exhaust and cylinders. The turbocharger has a housing for receiving the exhaust and a turbine assembly. The exhaust rotates the turbine assembly. The turbine assembly provides compressed air to the cylinders. The housing has a diameter dimensioned to control the exhaust gas volume and speed to optimize the turbine speed of the turbine assembly to reduce back pressure. The fuel is cooled as it exits the engine.

    摘要: A method of designing an RPG. A computerized model is created of a shield mesh opening with lines of a net intersecting at nodes and with hard points positioned at least at select nodes. The effectiveness of the mesh opening at a plurality of obliquity angles is determined. In the model, a change is made to the size of the mesh opening and the effectiveness is determined again at a plurality of different obliquity angles. Iterations of this process allow an optimal mesh opening size to be determined for a threat such as an RPG.

    摘要: Multiple media devices are synchronized in a multi-media system having a computer system, a plurality of media devices, and a display system. Each media device to be synchronized receives a front-end synchronization signal that periodically increments a front-end counter. The front-end counter represents an unadjusted system time (UST). The media device obtains a frame of data to be displayed from a computer system. The media device also receives a back-end synchronization signal that periodically increments a back-end counter each time a frame of data is to be displayed. The back-end counter represents a media stream count (MSC). UST and MSC data are periodically transmitted to the computer system for analysis and use by a synchronization algorithm. Specifically, UST is transmitted to the computer system each time a frame of data is obtained, and a UST/MSC pair is transmitted to the computer system each time a frame of data is displayed. The computer system executes a synchronization algorithm that uses the transmitted UST and UST/MSC pair to maintain the media devices in a synchronized state.
