摘要： The present invention provides a heat sensitive recording material comprising a substrate, a recording layer formed over the substrate and containing a colorless or light-colored basic dye and a color acceptor, and a protective layer formed over the recording layer, the recording material being characterized in that microcapsules having an ultraviolet absorber enclosed therein and having substantially no color forming ability are incorporated in the protective layer.Further, the present invention provides microcapsules having an ultraviolet absorber and as required an organic solvent enclosed therein, which have capsule wall film of synthetic resin and mean particle size of 0.1 to 3 .mu.m.

摘要： A document illuminating device, for use in an electrostatic copying machine or the like includes an illuminating lamp, a main reflecting device partly surrounding the illuminating lamp, and a subsidiary reflecting device disposed opposite to the illuminating lamp and the main reflecting device. The difference between a first quantity (L.sub.1) of light illuminating a document via a first illuminating light path ranging from one side to the document without reflection by the subsidiary reflecting device and a second quantity (L.sub.2) of light illuminating the document via a second illuminating light path ranging from the other side to the document with reflection by the subsidiary reflecting device is adjusted to not more than 15% of the sum of the first and second quantities (L.sub.1 +L.sub.2).

摘要： A heat-sensitive recording material comprises a recording layer containing a colorless or light-colored basic dye and a developing agent on a support. The recording layer further contains a polyethylene having a melting point not lower than 60.degree. C., which is obtained as an emulsion not comprising a surfactant.The heat-sensitive recording material may be prepared by coating on a support an aqueous coating composition, which contains a colorless or light-colored basic dye and a developing agent together with a polyethylene emulsion comprising a polyethylene having a melting point not lower than 60.degree. C. but no surfactant (e.g. emulsifier), to form a recording layer.
