The channel members each comprise a left, right, and middle member which form a Z-shaped cross section and define first and second receiving areas for holding a plurality of wires. The middle member further includes apertures such that a wire can be received concurrently in both receiving areas. The channel members are mounted on the rack by integrals clips that extend from each channel member and engage mating holes located on the rack. A second embodiment channel member includes a first member and an opposing second member each having integral clips extending therefrom for mounting the channel members on the rack. An enhanced telecommunications cabinet assembly for enclosing wiring interconnections includes a chassis defining an interior cavity, a movable interconnect management adapter tray positioned in the interior cavity of the chassis, a plurality of modular interconnect panels mounted on the movable adapter tray, and front and top covers on the chassis. The chassis has a bottom wall and a pair of opposite sidewalls extending upward therefrom so as to define the interior cavity between the sidewalls and above the bottom wall. The chassis further has a pair of lower guide members positioning the movable adapter tray in the interior cavity of the chassis for movement relative thereto. The movable adapter tray is capable of undergoing at least one of being lifted upward relative to the bottom wall for removal from the interior cavity of the chassis or being slidably moved forward and backward along the lower guide members on the bottom wall toward and away from front and rear end portions of the bottom wall of the chassis. The front and top covers are provided for enclosing the interior cavity of the chassis respectively at the front and top thereof so as to block access to the front and top of the movable adapter tray and modular interconnect panels thereon. The front and top covers also are movable for exposing the interior cavity at the front and top thereof so as to provide access to the front and top of the movable adapter tray and modular interconnect panels thereon.

An angled interconnect panel assembly includes an enclosure, a plurality of support brackets mounted inside the enclosure, a plurality of interconnect panels which are each pivotally mounted to one of the support brackets and are each disposed in an angled position when at rest between adjacent support brackets, and a pair of key-operated lock mechanisms for locking or holding the interconnect panels in their angled positions. The enclosure has a pair of opposite end walls and defines wire entry ports in the end walls. One wire entry port is for passage of user wiring into the assembly while the other of the wire entry ports is for passage of technician wiring into the assembly. Each interconnect panel has opposite user and technician sides and defines a plurality of openings extending between the opposite user and technician sides for receiving one or more interconnection members. The assembly also includes a pair of front closure doors. The pair of key-operated lock mechanisms, in combination with the front closure doors, makes it necessary to use a key to obtain access to a technician portion of the assembly while access to a user portion of the assembly is open and available. The angled position of each of the interconnect panels permits maximum wire density and use of the assembly.

A faceplate assembly for mounting to various wall, floor or ceiling mounted electrical boxes, such as a telecommunications box, that is easily assembled and disassembled, and in which the wiring device receiving modules are readily interchangeable. The faceplate assembly includes a plate for covering the box, holes in the plate aligned with holes in the box for securing the plate to the box, at least one aperture in the plate, at least two modules adapted to fit in the at least one plate aperture, and either a blank face on the module or at least one opening in the module for accessing a wiring device receptacle in the box with a wiring device. Fasteners received in the plate openings secure the plate to the box. A module is inserted in the at least one plate aperture from the front side of the plate, allowing a module to be removed and replaced with another module without having to remove the plate from the box. A module may have a blank front face, or it may have one or more openings for accessing the wiring device receptacle in the box. The openings may be oriented in a first direction having a longer horizontal side, or oriented in a second direction with a longer vertical side, as required by the wiring device receptacles housed in the box. The module may also have a sloped front face that facilitates accessing the wiring device. The quickly and easily removable and installable modules provide a versatile faceplate assembly that may be used on a wide variety of receptacle configurations.
