摘要: In certain embodiments, an on-demand portable medical record system using near field communication includes a near field communication (NFC) storage device adapted to retrieve patient medical data for storage on the NFC storage device and a NFC retrieval device adapted to engage in near field communication with the NFC storage device to retrieve the patient medical data from the NFC storage device. An emergency on-demand portable medical record system using near field communication includes a NFC-enabled medical alert device storing a patient identifier, and a NFC retrieval device adapted to engage in near field communication with the NFC-enabled medical alert device to retrieve the patient identifier from the NFC storage device. The NFC-enabled medical alert device transfers the patient identifier to the NFC retrieval device via near field communication, and patient medical data is transferred to a medical facility upon verification of the patient identifier.

摘要: An example apparatus provides access to electronic health information for a first patient and one or more patients connected by relationship to the first patient. A first patient indicator represents a first patient and provides a link to electronic health information for the first patient. A second patient indicator represents a second patient and provides a link to electronic health information for the second patient. A connection provides a graphical indication of a relationship between the first patient and the second patient and connects electronic health information for the second patient for access in connection with electronic health information for the first patient. The connection is to provide a graphical indication of a priority of the relationship between the first patient and the second patient based on a defined relationship hierarchy. A graphical indication of a type of relationship between the first patient and the second patient is provided.

摘要: An example operation metrics collection and processing system is to mine a data set including patient and exam workflow data from information source(s) according to an operational metric for a workflow of interest; identify one or more states involved in the workflow; determine a wait time for each of the state(s); apply one or more applicable deductions to the wait time for each of the state(s) based on one or more workflow-specific events to generate an adjusted wait time for each of the state(s) in the workflow of interest; aggregate the adjusted wait time for each of the state(s) to generate a normalized wait time for the workflow of interest; group normalized wait times for the workflow of interest according to one or more thresholds; and output a representation of the normalized wait times to the user interface based on the grouping and the one or more thresholds.

摘要: The present invention provides for the automatic generation of a series of significant images. One or more representative significant images are used to generate a pattern description. The pattern description can include any information useful to identify an object of interest, or pattern. The pattern description can include a mathematical shape definition of one or more patterns, a search boundary defining an image area to search for matching patterns, and one or more pattern characteristics. The pattern description is compared to one or more images and one or more amounts of match between the pattern description and each image is obtained. The amount(s) of match are then compared to one or more thresholds. If one or more of the amounts of match exceed one or more thresholds or are within an upper and lower threshold window, then the image is automatically selected for inclusion in a series of significant images.

摘要: Certain embodiments of the present invention provide a method and system for dynamic configuration of PACS workstation displays. Certain embodiments include automatically detecting a number of display(s) in communication with a picture archiving and communication system (PACS) and a display resolution associated with each of the display(s). An application window is created for each of the display(s) such that the application window may be closed, opened and/or resized without affecting other application windows. Configuration of display(s) may be dynamically adjusted based upon a number of active displays and a number of applications executing on the PACS, for example. A display protocol is applied to each application window for display of data in the application window. The display protocol may be a default, user-configured and/or dynamically-configured display protocol, for example.
