摘要： A two ply, synthetic drumhead for use in hand drums is created by using a laser to precisely remove excess material in the form of V-shaped notches from the peripheral portion of each layer disc of drumhead material prior to bonding and forming the drumhead sheet. After removal of the excess material, each layer disc has a peripheral edge consisting of equal size finger-like projections alternating with V-shaped notches. The layers are positioned so that the notches of one layer are covered by the projections of the other layer, producing a finished drumhead having a uniform exterior appearance and feel. The drumhead is tuned to duplicate the sound of a natural skin drumhead by positioning a damping element between the layer discs prior to bonding and assembly.

摘要： A plug connector for use with coaxial cable having a central signal wire in which a base member has a bore defined by a side wall adapted to receive the end of a coaxial cable. A member having a pointed end extends into the bore and is adapted to extend into the coaxial cable in contact with the central signal wire. A threaded bore extends through the side wall of the base member and a threaded screw member is mounted in the threaded bore. The screw member is adapted to be driven into the side of the coaxial cable. The screw member has a head portion at one end and a knife edge at the other end, the end having the knife edge having a pocket therein to receive the material of the coaxial cable cut by the knife edge.

摘要： An end pin has a composite shoulder with a fixed lower half and a rotatable upper half. The halves are alignable in a first, installation mode of minimal footprint relative to the hole and slit in the end piece to permit the pin to be easily inserted through the hole in the end piece. The upper half is rotated into a second, locking mode that increases the footprint of the pin over the hole and slit, thereby preventing inadvertent disengagement of the strap from the pin.
