Abstract:
A method and unit for forming, on a cartoning machine, a group having at least one row defined by a given number of products, whereby an orderly succession of products, traveling at a substantially constant first speed, is fed to conveyor traveling at a substantially constant second speed greater than the first speed; a leading product in the succession is braked on the conveyor until a portion of the succession corresponding to the row being formed moves onto the conveyor; and the leading product in the row is then released gradually to accelerate the row up to the second speed and detach the row from the rest of the succession.
Abstract:
A method and machine for packing a product by means of a flat blank having a central portion supporting the product and in turn having first lateral wings, and two opposite lateral portions, each having second lateral wings; the method and machine provide for folding the first lateral wings using at least one folding body, which has a first and a second folding edge differently inclined with respect to each other, and is rotated about an axis of rotation so that the first folding edge folds a respective first lateral wing to a given angle of less than 90°, and the second folding edge folds corresponding second lateral wings to an angle of 90°; the folding body is then rotated further about the axis of rotation so that the first folding edge completes the folding of the first lateral wing to 90°.
Abstract:
A labelling machine for applying a label, in particular a sealing band, to a container comprises a carousel pivotable about a vertical axis, whereon a frame is supported such as to be movable parallel to the vertical axis. The frame defines a seat having an opening for allowing the placing of a label on the container top and the folding of the opposed laps of the label down along the sides of the container by folding members carried by the carousel.
Abstract:
A rotating device for supporting containers in labelling machines which incorporate a plate rotating about a vertical axis, comprising at least one tubular body rotatably supported parallel to the axis of rotation of the device at the periphery of the plate and provided at its top with a cap for supporting the bottom of a container. A rod is rotatably guided in this tubular body and is provided at its top with means for peripherally retaining the container bottom, and an elastic member which urges this rod in the sense of bringing the retaining means beyond the container support plane on the cap. Furthermore a gear wheel is keyed on the tubular body and provided with elements angularly distributed on it and engaging with a stationary guide concentric with the axis of rotation of the device so as to keep the gear wheel fixed with respect to the plate, and a toothed sector arranged to engage with this gear wheel and concentrically rigid with the guide at the portion where the label is passed to the container.
Abstract:
A unit for feeding flat diecut blanks of wrapping material to a user machine is equipped with a conveyor by which blanks disposed on edge transversely to a given feed direction and ordered in a substantially continuous column are caused to advance along a conveying path extending toward a transfer station where each blank in turn is picked up from the column; the conveyor comprises two sections aligned along the path: the one, an intermittently driven first belt by which the column is advanced toward the transfer station through a step of predetermined length, at a predetermined frequency timed with the operation of a pickup mechanism positioned at the transfer station, the other a continuously driven second belt designed to advance the column toward the first belt at a predetermined velocity.
Abstract:
The apparatus comprises two superimposed conveyors the adjacent runs whereof move at the same speed in the same direction. The conveyors are provided with transverse guides on which sliding elements are mounted which provide support for the articles, in connection with the bottom conveyor, and clamp the articles against the underlying supporting elements, in connection with the top conveyor, the held articles being caused to advance past switches operated in succession to divert the articles along guide sets leading to respective removal belts.
Abstract:
A method and machine for packing a group of products, whereby the group of products is fed along a first packing path and eased onto a central portion of a blank fed underneath the group, and in the time with the group, along a second path meeting up with the first path; the blank is drawn along said supply path; and at least one further portion of the blank is subsequently folded along a peripheral bend line of the central portion as the group is pressed with a given pressure against the central portion of the blank.
Abstract:
A device for picking up sheets from a magazine in a packaging machine comprises a driving shaft pivotally supporting a plurality of oscillating levers each comprising a cylindrical segment having grippers for picking up the sheets. A plurality of cams are moreover provided for actuating the oscillating levers to cause the cylindrical segments to roll without slippage for a fraction of a turn of the driving shaft to pick up the leading sheet in the magazine.
