摘要: A system and method for managing logical and physical address state lifecycles. A state of unknown can be assigned to an address when the state has not been assigned. The state of the address is changed when communication is targeted to the address. The state can be changed to unfulfilled when the communication includes an address resolution protocol request sent to a device having the address when a time limit for a response to the address resolution protocol request has not expired. The state can be changed to virtual when the communication is received at the address when the state of the address is unfulfilled, and a time limit for responding to the communication expires before a response is sent. The state can be changed to unknown when the state of the address is not unknown, and the address does not participate in the communication within a time limit.

摘要: A system, method, and computer-readable medium for deterring network incursion by formulating appropriate responses to attacks. Once an attack is detected, the system may respond in such a manner as to imitate a network device. The system may respond in a manner that provides a high cost to pursue further communication with the system. For example, the system may respond to TCP syn requests and window probes with messages indicating small packet and window sizes. As such, attempts to send packets to the system have a high network and processing cost. An attacking computer running multiple threads may ultimately slow or be disabled as a result of the receiving the responses and attempting to continue to communicate with the system.

摘要: A tool for engagement with overhead valves to retain them in securely raised positions while working on the valve associated structure to prevent valves from falling into the cylinder when released from such associated structure. The tool has a flexible tube with an inflatable balloon at one end thereof which is projected through a spark plug opening into the combustion chamber and a compressible bulb at the other end of the flexible tube for manually supplying air pressure to said balloon through the tube. The tool includes control valve means for selectively connecting the bulb directly to the balloon for inflating the latter in the combustion chamber to engage the valves and hold them in a raised position and for venting the tube to deflate the balloon and release the valves when the work is complete.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to electrical junction box extensions. During the installation of conduit and wiring systems, electrical junction boxes can become overfilled with too many conductors, and may not meet code. Either the junction box must be replaced with a larger box, or a box extension must be attached. However, replacing a junction box wastes time, and junction box extensions are costly, and requires excessive additional inventory. The proposed solution is to attach a second identical, or substantially identical, junction box to the first junction box. Only minor manufacturing modifications to the standard junction boxes are required to employ the disclosed extension methods, and the disclosed methods work for a wide variety of box sizes. Several embodiments are disclosed, each consisting of inexpensive ways to quickly attach and secure two junction boxes together, thereby doubling the available volume.

摘要: A navigation and guidance computer system using navigation sensors to determine aircraft position, and automatically control the aircraft to fly from an initial position to intercept and follow a crew-selected rendezvous orbit in accordance with Air Traffic Control and military specified rules. It creates maneuvers that result in smooth, efficient motion of the aircraft from an initial position to the execution of a rendezvous orbit. It controls the aircraft by applying commands to the aircraft's autopilot. The system creates the smooth and coordinated maneuvers by considering and anticipating all constraints on the aircraft flight path by creating a single maneuver that is a re-entry maneuver, an over fly maneuver, and a turning maneuver all as a single turn that is contained entirely within the allowable airspace. All maneuvers are created and executed recognizing the turning capability of the aircraft considering allowable bank angles, current wind conditions and true airspeed.

摘要: A pair of pressure transducers are connected to pressure probes positioned in a flow passage of a turbofan engine downstream of the fan and respond to pressure fluctuations which occur in the airstream. One transducer has a high response capability, and its output is passed through a band-pass filter to isolate the high frequencies of interest. The other transducer has a low response capability, and its output is passed through a low-pass filter to provide the steady state pressure level. A triggering level is scheduled as a function of the steady state pressure level, and a comparator is used to continuously compare the triggering level with the level of the high frequency pressure signal produced in the band-pass filter. If the amplitude of the high frequency pressure is greater than that of the triggering level, the engine is approaching a surge or stall condition, and a warning signal is generated which may be used to institute corrective action.

摘要: A system and method for tracking communication for determining device states. Communication between devices is observed and a respective state of at least one device is inferred. The inference is formed without directly communicating with the device. Various states of the devices include unknown, used, unfulfilled, virtual, omitted, and automatic. The respective state of a device is unknown when the observation shows that the device fails to respond to communication. The respective state of the device is unfulfilled when an ARP request comprising a destination address for the device is observed, and the device does not respond to the ARP request prior to expiration of a time limit. The respective state of a device is determined to be virtual when the observation shows that the device received a packet when its respective state was unfulfilled, and the device did not send a reply to the packet within a time limit.
