    Abstract: An apparatus and method for valve cartridge extraction from a valve assembly, wherein the assembly includes a valve member body, a cartridge, and a valve cartridge extraction (VCE) tool comprising at least one pin disposed on the upper surface of the VCE tool. During cartridge removal, the VCE tool is uncoupled from the valve member body and is coupled to the cartridge with the at least one pin. The cartridge is rotated with the coupled VCE tool to assist in cartridge removal. The valve assembly may also include a hood covering the VCE tool.

    Abstract: According to one aspect, a fluid control system is provided comprising a servicing tool set and at least one valve assembly comprising an actuator and a valve operationally engageable therewith; each valve comprising a valve body; each actuator comprising an actuator body having an upper base and side walls; wherein each actuator body is engageable with a valve body, and wherein the system is configured to allow: engaging the servicing tool set with an actuator and subsequently applying torque to an actuator body engaged with a valve body and thereby disengaging the actuator body from the valve body; the at least one valve assembly comprising at least one Normally Closed (NC) valve; wherein the NC valve is configured to allow activating an actuator engaged therewith with pressurized fluid and thereby opening the NC valve, wherein the actuator comprises a nipple and the servicing tool set comprises a ratchet and at least one socket engageable with the actuator body, and wherein the at least one socket is sized and shaped to accommodate the nipple, and wherein the servicing tool set is further configured to allow operationally coupling the pressurized fluid to the actuator.

    Abstract: A system for retrieving a failed inner check valve that is part of an injection fitting includes a hollow isolation valve assembly that includes a first section and a second section that is detachable from the first section. The first section includes a first valve and the second section including a relief valve. The first valve moves between a closed position in which the first section is completely occluded and an open position and can be in the form of a ball valve. The system also includes an extraction tool that is configured to be coupled to and advanced along the isolation valve assembly. An elongated inner key is configured to be received into and pass through the hollow isolation valve assembly. A distal end of the inner key is configured to engage and unscrew the failed internal check valve for removal thereof.

    Abstract: Example valve stem and plug connections and example staking tools are described herein. An example apparatus includes a valve plug having a first side, a second side opposite the first side and a bore extending from the first side to the second side. A first portion of the bore is tapered from a first diameter to a second diameter smaller than the first diameter. A valve stem is disposed within the bore of the valve plug. The valve stem includes a first section, a second section and a third section between the first and second sections. The third section is tapered from a third diameter to a fourth diameter smaller than the third diameter. The tapers of the first portion of the valve plug and the third section of the valve stem, when engaged, create a frictional force that resists movement of the valve stem out of the bore.
