    摘要: Methods of extracting iron species, such as iron naphthenate, and iron sulfides, from a liquid hydrocarbon, such as crude oil are disclosed. A chelant selected from oxalic or citric acid is added directly to the liquid hydrocarbon and mixed therewith. Then, wash water is added to form a water in oil emulsion. The emulsion is resolved, with iron laden aqueous phase being separated.

    摘要: This invention relates to compositions and methods of inhibiting acrylate monomer polymerization at elevated temperatures comprising adding to the acrylate monomer an effective amount for the purpose of (a) a hydroxylamine having the formula ##STR1## wherein R and R' are the same or different and are hydrogen, alkyl, aryl, alkaryl or aralkyl groups, and (b) a para-phenylenediamine or derivative thereof having at least one N-H group. Preferably the phenylenediamine is a para-phenylenediamine having the formula ##STR2## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are the same or different and are hydrogen, alkyl, aryl, alkaryl, or aralkyl groups with the proviso that at least one of R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 or R.sup.4 is hydrogen.
