    摘要: Phosphorus derivatives of polyalkenylsuccinimides and methods of use of such derivatives as antifoulants in liquid hydrocarbonaceous mediums, such as crude oil, during processing at elevated temperatures are disclosed. The derivatives are formed via reaction of a polyalkenylsuccinimide intermediate with formaldehyde and a phosphorus compound having at least one acidic hydrogen P--H bond. The intermediate is first formed via reaction of polyalkenylsuccinic anhydride and polyamine.

    摘要: Partially glycolated polyalkenylsuccinimide-diisocyanate reaction products are used as effective antifoulants in liquid hydrocarbonaceous mediums, such as crude oils and gas oils, during processing of such liquids at elevated temperatures. The reaction products are formed via a three-step reaction in which a polyalkenylsuccinic anhydride precursor is reacted with an amine to form polyalkenylsuccinimide intermediate which, in turn, is reacted with glycolic acid to form a partially glycolated bis-alkenyl succinimide, followed by adding a diisocyanate to the succinimide.

    摘要: In a hydrocarbon fluid catalytic cracking process, high concentrations of sodium in the hydrocarbon entering the reactor will poison the reaction sites on the FCC catalysts, thereby reducing the efficiency of the cracking process. The addition of an aluminum compound to the hydrocarbon significantly reduces the poisoning effect of the sodium on the catalyst. The aluminum compound may be selected from the group consisting of aluminum nitrate, aluminum isopropoxide, aluminum oxide and sulfate salts of aluminum.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to a composition that contains polysulfides and that has a reduced odor level and to a method for reducing the odor of polysulfides. The composition contains a polysulfide and an inhibitor that reduces the odor level. The polysulfides include sulfurized olefins prepared by reacting the olefin with sulfur and H2S in the presence of a catalyst. The inhibitors are selected from the group consisting of hydrocarbyl acrylates and hydrocarbyl methacrylates. The method for reducing the odor level of polysulfides involves contacting the polysulfide with an inhibitor selected from the group consisting of hydrocarbyl acrylates and hydrocarbyl methacrylates under conditions that reduce the odor level.
