摘要: The present invention includes a portable disassembly tool 56 for removing outer track links 36 from a track chain assembly 12. The disassembly tool 56 includes a body adapted to engage the track chain assembly and a moveable ram 66 to engage a pair of track pins 46. During extension of the ram 66, the body 58 engages an outer track link 36 and removes it from the track pins 46. Additionally, a “V” block 104 is provided to engage the track pins 46 and hold the track chain assembly 12 together after the outer track links 36 have been removed.

摘要: The present invention provides a portable machine for assembling a track for a track type work machine. A positioning block is provided for alignment of a pair of track pins that are to receive an outer track joint. A portable assembly tool having a pair of contact tools is adapted to receive a pair of outer track joints. The assembly tool is positioned over the positioning block and a hydraulic ram is extended to press each of the outer track links onto the track pins. The present invention is used with track assemblies that do not require master links.

摘要: Apparatus and method for leak testing and adding lubricating oil to enclosed reservoirs of undercarriage components of crawler-type equipment. Barometric pressure is measured by a transducer mounted on a handle from which an elongated wand extends, the wand having a nozzle on the end opposite the handle. The wand is inserted into the reservoir and communication is successively established and terminated between the handle and a source of pressurized nitrogen, a vacuum generator and a source of lubricating oil. After raising the pressure in the reservoir by connecting it to the nitrogen source, pressure is again measured at the end of a wait period to determine if the drop is greater or less than a predetermined amount indicating seal integrity. The vacuum generator is then placed in communication with the handle to lower the pressure within the reservoir to 15% of the previously measured barometric pressure, following which oil is pumped into the reservoir until the pressure therein equals the sum of the barometric pressure and back pressure of the oil flow. Communications are established and terminated by pneumatically operated valves which receive air through solenoid operated pilot valves controlled by a programmable logic controller (PLC). A switch on the handle is actuated by the operator to initiate action of the PLC and an operator keypad is also provided for manually initiating other operations.

摘要: It is desirable in many applications to have a bulldozer assembly that can be angled and/or tilted without having interference between elements of the bulldozer assembly and the machine on which it is mounted. In the subject arrangement, a bulldozer assembly has a blade connected to a U-shaped frame through a universal connector. The blade is angled by a pair of angle cylinders connected between the U-shaped frame and a pair of spaced apart angle cylinder brackets located on the blade. The universal connector is connected to the blade generally midway between the pair of spaced apart angled cylinder brackets and generally aligned therewith. The pitch of the blade is maintained at a preselected position by a pitch control mechanism and mechanically adjusted by the pitch control mechanism. Since the pair of spaced apart angle cylinder brackets and the universal connecting joint bracket are in general transverse alignment and the universal connecting bracket is located generally midway therebetween, any angling and/or tilting of the blade permits the pair of angle cylinders to remain generally along their neutral axis. The subject arrangement provides freedom of angling and tilting of the blade without interference between elements of the bulldozer assembly and the machine.
