    摘要: An adjustment control for a thermostatic valve consists of a non-rotatable component to the valve on which is mounted a rotatable knob for setting the temperature control, the knob having a maximum rotation of about one revolution. A releasable auxiliary device is provided which is operable between the component and the knob at a predetermined intermediate rotational position of the knob to limit the rotation of the latter.

    摘要: A pressure reducer has a housing with an inlet and an outlet. A valve disc is located in the housing and a valve stem reciprocally and sealably moves in the valve disc with the outer end secured to a resilient diaphragm. The inner end of the valve stem extends into the inlet and is secured to a tubular closure member which is sealingly positioned in the inlet and is engageable with the valve disc. The surface of the tubular member subjected to pressure in the housing is adpated to equal the combined subjected to opposed pressure surfaces of the tubular member in the inlet and the end of the valve stem to which it is secured. Screens are provided around the tubular member.

    摘要: An actuating mechanism comprises a lower housing portion and an upper housing portion. The lower housing portion is cup-shaped and receives a mounting plate into which a thermostatically working element together with a heating coil are inserted. The lower housing portion comprises leaves which are shielded by an insulating plate. Apertures in the insulating plate allow penetration of a working piston of the working element and of contact pins through the mounting plate during assembly of the housing portions whereat the contact pins engage the contact leaves so that the heating coil is supplied with a voltage only in the assembled condition of the actuating mechanism. A compression spring seves as an abutment for the mounting plate. By means of the compression spring the working element is protected against overload: if the pushing force of the working piston exceeds the biasing force of the compression spring, the mounting plate is shifted against the compression spring, and the contact pins lift off from the contact leaves so that the electrical circuit is disconnected.

    摘要: An anti-backflow valve to prevent back-flow of water within a water supply line comprises a cross-shaped housing arranged symmetrically with respect to a vertical center axis. A diaphragm is clamped between the housing and a cover and acts via a valve stem upon a relief valve. Parallel to the valve stem and located on each side of it are two check valves arranged within bores of the housing. Both check valves as well as the relief valve are arranged in a plane containing an inlet and outlet of the housing to produce a compact and symmetrical configuration which is easily inserted into a water supply line.

    摘要: In order to protect a boiler against overheating a boiler draft control device comprises a safety thermostat in addition to the regular control thermostat. The control thermostat is provided with a supporting tube in order to limit its length reduction in the event of its failure. The safety thermostat is designed in such a manner that its working element only provides a displacement when the control range of the control thermostat is exceeded. Furthermore the safety thermostat has a very steep displacement/temperature characteristic and its maximum stroke is equal or greater than the stroke being given by an operable control thermostat over its total control range. A latch means is provided to prevent that an air inlet flap closed according to the response of the safety thermostat may be opened again with the cooling down of the boiler.

    摘要: A valve structure has a body with an inlet, an outlet and an intermediate by pass aperture. A pair of identical check valves are located in the body, one to each side of the aperture. The check valve nearest the inlet has a slidable housing, movable to cover the aperture, biased away from the fixed housing of the second check valve by a spring. The check valves are closable by individual springs in the direction of the inlet but the individual springs are stronger than the spring separating the housings.

A diaphragm controls a venting valve for the intermediate chamber which is designed to empty the intermediate chamber when the difference between inlet pressure and intermediate chamber pressure becomes too small. To prevent unnecessary emptying of the intermediate chamber, a pressure stabilizer is connected between the inlet and the intermediate chamber. The stabilizer holds the pressure in the intermediate chamber below the inlet pressure by an amount sufficient to prevent unnecessary emptying of the intermediate chamber.
