    Abstract: A pressure release mechanism has a securing end, a detaching end and an activation piston. An inner cylinder and an outer cylinder in communication with the inner cylinder are defined in the securing end. A concave annular recess is defined in the inner periphery of the outer cylinder. A spring is compressed in the inner cylinder. The activation piston has a first extension and a second extension respectively extending from opposite ends and an annular groove defined to receive therein an O-ring. Multiple holes ate radially defined in the detaching end to receive balls. A cylinder in communication with the outer cylinder of the securing end is defined in the detaching end, and an axial hole is defined in the detaching end to communicate with the cylinder and the external environment. When the activation piston is movably received in the detaching end cylinder and the securing end outer and inner cylinders, the balls in the holes are held in the concave annular recess. When the balls are released from the annular recess due to the movement of the first extension, the securing end is detached from the detaching end.

    Abstract: An underwater clamp-type release apparatus has a main body and a release mechanism. The main body includes a housing, a motor stand, and a speed reducing gear motor while the release mechanism includes a base plate, a pair of clamp frames, a clamp, and a rotationally controlled block. The clamp is positioned between the two clamp frames and is pivotally connected to the clamp frames with a pin installed through holes in the clamp and the clamp frames. The top end of the clamp has a concave part for clamping and holding the working piece. The rotationally controlled block includes a bottom block, and an annular wall wherein the size of the inner diameter of the annular wall can just fit to contain the second end of the pair of the clamp arms when they are closed, and wherein the annular wall includes two openings opposite each other (180-degrees apart), and the total width of the second end of the clamp arms when they are closed allows them to pass through the openings when the two clamp arms are tending to open. Therefore, when the rotationally controlled block is controlled to turn an angle of 90-degrees, the two clamp arms are aligned with the openings at the rotationally controlled block to be opened, and the working piece is released.

    Abstract: A device for jettisoning an object into the water from a vessel has a body having a pair of parallel straight tracks each provided with a pivot seat and connection plate respectively mounted on opposite ends thereof, a locking assembly having an axle pivotally connected between one of the connection plates and one of the parallel straight tracks and two opposed locks securely mounted on different ends of the axle and a set of moving tracks pivotally connected with the pair of straight tracks of the body and having a pair of opposed ears respectively formed on the under side of each of the set of the moving tracks. With this arrangement, the cart is able to be safely moved before the device of the invention, and after deactivation of the locks on the moving tracks, the push cart with the object carried thereon is then smoothly moved to a position ready for jettisoning an object into the water.

    Abstract: A quick-release hook comprising a latching hook locker, a spring, a pair of latching hooks, a pull lever and a main body. One end of the latching hook locker is shaped into a cylinder and the other end is shaped into a frustum. The latching hook locker also has a groove slot on the side of the cylinder section close to the frustum. The spring is fastened to the cylindrical end of the latching hook locker. The two latching hooks each has a U-shaped profile and is in contact with the frustum of the latching hook locker.     Abstract: An underwater electromechanical timer comprises a motor-driven timer assembly which includes a threaded member that engages an endless screw driven in rotation by means of a motor. Time programming of the timer is accomplished via presetting a length of sliding of the threaded member along the endless screw. The sliding threaded member causes a timely switching event of a device switch placed in the casing structure. The device switch, electrically connected to an external device, thereby activates the external device. The underwater electromechanical timer is activated via an activation mechanism that is externally exposed. Under an external pressure, the activation mechanism connects an output of the motor with the endless screw, and further turns on the motor. Resilient elements are further mounted between the motor and the endless screw and between the threaded member and the device switch to prevent undesired activation events.
