Abstract: A method of controlling an image forming apparatus is provided. The method includes requesting a remote support service from a terminal or a server connected to the terminal, receiving a request for an access authorization regarding an operation related to the remote support service from the terminal, granting the access authorization to the terminal based on a user input or a pre-set setting, receiving a control command for the remote support service from the terminal, and executing an operation corresponding to the control command according to the access authorization granted to the terminal.
