    Abstract: A process for densifying annular porous substrates by chemical vapour infiltration, includes providing a plurality of unit modules including a support plate on which is formed a stack of substrates, the support plate including a central gas inlet opening communicating with an internal volume formed by the central passages of the stacked substrates and gas outlet openings distributed angularly around the central opening, and a thermal mass cylinder disposed around the stack of substrates having a first end integral with the support plate and a second free end, forming stacks of unit modules in the chamber of a densification furnace, and injecting into the stacks of unit modules a gas phase including a gas precursor of a matrix material to be deposited within the porosity of the substrates.

    Abstract: A method for densifying porous annular substrates having a central passage by chemical vapor infiltration, the method including providing stacks of porous annular substrates, providing a plurality of individual modules including stacks disposed on a support plate having a perforated injection tube each mounted on a gas inlet opening, forming a stack of individual modules, aligning the individual modules of the stack in a sealed manner by means of an annular seal disposed between the injection tube of a second individual module and the gas inlet opening of a first individual module with which it cooperates, and injecting into the internal volume of each stack of porous annular substrates a gas phase including a gaseous precursor of a matrix material to be deposited within the porosities of the substrates.

    Abstract: A method for densification by Chemical Vapor Infiltration of a plurality of fibrous preforms arranged in the enclosure of a densification furnace, the method including at least the following procedures a) and b), each being repeated more than once: a) introducing a first gaseous phase, the thermal decomposition of which allows the matrix to form in the pores of the plurality of fibrous preforms; b) introducing a second gaseous phase while simultaneously placing the enclosure of the furnace under vacuum, such that the introduction of the second gaseous phase takes place at the same time as the expulsion of the first gaseous phase out of the enclosure, the temperature of the second gaseous phase being less than or equal to 25° C. when it is introduced into the enclosure of the furnace.
