Abstract: The present invention provides a business card image based personal information management service system. The present invention creates a novel personal information management system based on recognition and management of business cards. The present invention allows a user to establish a new personal information file by inputting a business card using a portable device. With a human face image database that includes facial images of a limited number of persons belonging to a defined scope, automatic facial recognition services are provided by the invented system. Facial recognition is automatically processed upon receipt of an input image by user through the portable device.
