    Abstract: A process is for manufacturing a complex motor vehicle glazing including a glass pane, an elastomer seal and a metal insert overmolded by the elastomer seal. The process includes inserting an edge of a glass pane and a metal insert into an encapsulation mold forming a leaktight cavity around the edge of the glass pane, filling the leaktight cavity containing the edge of the glass pane and the metal insert, by injecting an encapsulation composition including a polypropylene (PP)/thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) compound in the molten state, cooling the encapsulation composition to form an elastomer seal in which the metal insert is integrated, and releasing the elastomer seal from the mold. The PP/TPE compound includes from 30% to 80% by weight of polypropylene (PP) and the metal insert is covered over its entire surface liable to come into contact with the encapsulation composition, with a polypropylene coating.

    Abstract: A glazing, and in particular an automotive glazing, includes a laminated glazed element including an exterior glass sheet, an interior glass sheet and a plastic interlayer sheet that is located between the two glass sheets and including at least one light-emitting diode that is located under a peripheral edge of the interlayer face of the exterior glass sheet, wherein the emitting face of the light-emitting diode is located facing at least a part of the edge face of the interior glass sheet and wherein the glazing includes a profiled bead including an exterior lip an interior lip and a body, with the body being located a distance away from, and not in contact with, the emitting face of the light-emitting diode.

    Abstract: A glazed panel includes a glass panel, two longitudinal reinforcement armatures in order to reinforce the glass panel against deformations by flexure, and two longitudinal securing armatures in order to secure the glazed panel in an outer structure provided for this purpose. The armatures can be overmolded in a polymer material which is arranged on the periphery of the glass panel. The two reinforcement armatures and the two securing armatures are joined in pairs by their longitudinal ends in order to form a frame by means of an assembly by nesting, optionally using an intermediate part. This measure makes it possible to reduce the concentrations of stresses in the corners of the glass panel, and simplifies the molding operation during the production of the glazed panel.
