    Abstract: A spacer for multipane insulating glazing units includes a polymeric main body having two pane contact surfaces running parallel to one another, a glazing interior surface and, an adhesive bonding surface. The pane contact surfaces, and the adhesive bonding surface are connected directly or via connection surfaces. The spacer also includes an insulation film, which is applied on the adhesive bonding surface.

    Abstract: A spacer for an insulating glazing unit composed of at least two glass panes is described. The spacer includes a polymeric basic body having at least two mutually parallel side walls which are connected to one another by an inner wall and an outer wall, wherein the side walls, the inner wall and the outer wall enclose a hollow chamber. The spacer further includes an insulation film on at least the outer wall. The insulation film contains a polymeric carrier film and at least one metallic or ceramic layer, wherein a reinforcing strip is incorporated in each side wall and contains at least one metal or a metallic alloy.

    Abstract: A spacer for insulating glazing units is presented. The spacer has a polymeric main body with features that include two parallel side walls that are connected to one another by an inner wall and an outer wall. The side walls, the inner wall, and the outer wall surround a hollow chamber. According to one aspect, the polymeric main body has a glass fiber content of 0 wt.-% to 40 wt.-%, to which 0.5 wt.-% to 1.5 wt.-% of a foaming agent is added to form hollow spaces that provide a weight reduction of the polymeric main body of 10 wt.-% to 20 wt.-%.
