Abstract: A spacer for insulating glass units, includes a U-shaped main body extending in the longitudinal direction including a first metallic side section, a second metallic side section arranged parallel thereto, a polymeric connecting piece extending in the transverse direction, which connects the two metallic side sections and forms the lower limit of the main body, and an intermediate space arranged above the polymeric connecting piece between the metallic side sections. The first and second metallic side sections each include a side wall for connecting to a glass pane and a retaining arm, which protrudes into the intermediate space, and the retaining arm forms an assembly groove with the side wall, which groove runs substantially parallel to the side wall. The polymeric connecting piece is U-shaped and its two legs are inserted into the assembly grooves of the two metallic side sections.

Abstract: A laminated pane having two main surfaces and a circumferential edge surface is presented. The laminated pane includes, in order and adhesively joined one atop another, a transparent glass pane, a transparent adhesion-promoting layer, an opaque or translucent stone layer, and an all-around seal of the circumferential edge surface. According to one aspect, the all-around seal has at least two polymer layers of different materials. One of the polymer layers is an adhesive film that engages, on its boundary layer, in pores and/or cracks of the stone layer. The other polymer layer is a barrier film that forms a fluid barrier. Methods for producing and using of the laminated pane are also presented.

Abstract: An insulating glazing having a pressure-equalizing body, includes a first pane, a second pane, a peripheral spacer between the first pane and the second pane, wherein the spacer includes a hollow main body having at least two parallel pane contact walls, an outer wall, and a glazing interior wall and a bore opening through the outer wall and contains a desiccant arranged in the hollow main body. The hollow main body extends between the first and second panes along a periphery and, along this periphery, a partition wall extends through the hollow main body transversely to the periphery. An inner interpane space is formed between the first pane, the second pane, and the spacer, and a hollow pressure-equalizing body for pressure equalization between the inner interpane space and the surroundings of the insulating glazing. The pressure-equalizing body includes a surrounding outer wall and a gas-permeable membrane.
