Abstract: A display device includes: an insulation substrate including a plurality of pixel areas; a thin film transistor provided on the insulation substrate; a pixel electrode connected to the thin film transistor; a liquid crystal layer filling a microcavity; a common electrode provided on the liquid crystal layer and separated from the pixel electrode by the microcavity; a roof layer provided on the common electrode; an injection hole formed on the common electrode and the roof layer to expose part of the microcavity; an overcoat formed on the roof layer to cover the injection hole and seal the microcavity; and a passivation layer provided on the overcoat, wherein the passivation layer includes an inorganic layers.
