A display device includes a window on which a fingerprint detection region in which fingerprint information is detected is defined, an optical layer disposed below the window and in which at least one transmission hole overlapping the fingerprint detection region is defined, a protection layer disposed below the optical layer, and a sensor. A refractive index of the protection layer is greater than a refractive index of the window. A distance from the optical layer to the window is less than a distance from the optical layer to the sensor.

A display device includes a display panel, an input sensor, and a control unit. The display panel includes a light blocking layer that includes an opening. The input sensor includes a first sensing element, a second sensing element, and a third sensing element. The control unit calculates a first distance between the first sensing element and the second sensing element when the display panel is in a first state and the second sensing element overlaps the opening, calculates a second distance between the first sensing element and a third sensing element when the display device is in a second state that differs from that of the first state and the third sensing element overlaps the opening, and corrects an image obtained from the input sensor on the basis of the first distance and the second distance.
Abstract:
An organic light emitting diode (OLED) display device and method of fabrication that includes a substrate having a device region, an outer dam region and an encapsulation region. The encapsulation region includes an inner dam region, an outer dam region and an encapsulation region that correspond to the device region. An encapsulation agent is formed in the encapsulation region of the encapsulation substrate, and filling dams are formed of the same material in the outer dam region and the inner dam region of the encapsulation substrate.
