    Abstract: A display device includes: a display panel; and a frequency controller which receives an image data signal and an input frequency information and outputs the image data signal and a timing control signal. The frequency controller includes: an image processor which receives the image data signal; a frame memory which stores the image data signal; an output frequency determining unit which receives the input frequency information and determines an output frequency based on a variation amount of the input frequency; and an image output unit which receives the image data signal from the image processor, receives an output frequency information from the output frequency determining unit, and outputs the image data signal and the timing control signal. When an input frequency varies, the output frequency determining unit determines the output frequency based on the following equations: K =  FREQ - P_FREQ M_FREQ  × SLOPE + OFFSET , and FREQ ′ = FREQ × K + P_FREQ × ( 1 - K ) .

    Abstract: A method includes applying a common voltage to a display panel, digitally converting a feedback common voltage from the display panel, detecting an effective ripple signal exceeding a reference value based on the digitally converted feedback common voltage, comparing a total number of effective ripple signals detected during a first frame period with a threshold value, determining whether the effective ripple signals of the first frame period are crosstalk inducing signals based on a comparison result, and determining whether to change a polarity pattern of image data signals to be applied to the display panel during a second frame period based on a determination result in terms of the crosstalk inducing signal.

    Abstract: A display apparatus includes an image data receiver receiving image data of an image to be displayed. A driving mode determining controller receives anomalous trichromat data of a user, determines a driving mode as either a general driving mode or an anomalous trichromat correction driving mode, and outputs a driving mode signal indicative of the determination. A correction mode requirement luminance calculator calculates a correction mode requirement luminance for an image output for the user. A backlight boosting determination controller determines a level of boosting light emitted from a backlight, and outputs a boosting determine signal. An image data converter converts image data corresponding to the anomalous trichromat data of the user and the correction mode requirement luminance, and outputs a data signal corresponding to correction image data. The backlight emits light having an intensity corresponding to signals. A pixel transmits light according to the data signal.
