Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a curved first substrate and a curved second substrate. A liquid crystal layer is between the first curved substrate and the second curved substrate. A pixel electrode is on the first substrate. The pixel electrode includes a plurality of unit sub-pixel electrodes. A common electrode is on the second substrate. The common electrode has a planar shape. A connecting portion connects at least two of the plurality of unit sub-pixel electrodes to each other. A protrusion is disposed on the connecting portion.
