Abstract:
An apparatus and method for determining a product price for an electronic information label (EIL) system. The apparatus identifies customer interest in a particular product based on customers and their behaviors that express interest of a product, and determines a price for the product based on the customer interest. The apparatus may first determine a basic price of the product according to an existing method, and then determine a final price by adjusting the basic price, taking into account customer interest, and, if needed, the sales of the product. The determined product price may be transmitted to the EIL system and then be displayed on an EIL tag.
Abstract:
An inventory management method for managing warehouse inventory and in-store inventory in real time. An inventory management apparatus is able to calculate inventory based on received inventory information and identification information of small electronic labels assigned to products. By generating an image frame, which includes the inventory information, and transmitting the image frame through a gateway to an electronic label, the inventory management apparatus allows the electronic label to display the image frame. The inventory management method and apparatus allows a location of a product to be informed in real time, so that a product ready to be run out inside a store may be replenished immediately.
