Abstract: Provided is a device for displaying augmented reality including an optical engine configured to output light of a virtual image, a waveguide configured to output light of the virtual image and transmit light of a real scene, a first lens part and a second lens part, and a processor, the first lens part being configured to tune a focus of the virtual image and including a first focus-tunable lens having a refractive power tunable by the processor and a fixed refractive lens having a refractive power, the second lens part being configured to compensate distortion of the real scene and including a second focus-tunable lens having a refractive power that is tunable by the processor, and the processor being further configured to determine the first refractive power based on vision information of the user, attribute depth information of the virtual image, and fixed refractive power of the fixed refractive lens.

Abstract: Provided is an augmented reality device including a variable focus lens, an eye tracking sensor configured to emit light to eyes of a user, receive the light reflected by the eyes of the user, and detect a plurality of feature points based on the light reflected by the eyes of the user, and at least one processor configured to obtain information with respect to eye relief, which is a distance between the eyes of the user and the variable focus lens, based on position information of the plurality of feature points detected by the eye tracking sensor, obtain information with respect to a gaze point at which gaze directions of the eyes of the user converge, and an interpupillary distance of the eyes of the user, based on the plurality of feature points, and determine a position of a focal region of the variable focus lens based on the information with respect to the eye relief, the gaze point, and the interpupillary distance.

Abstract: A method of correcting vision by a vision correcting apparatus including a focus adjustable lens, includes: determining a first dioptric power to match far focus, based on far vision of a user; determining a second dioptric power to match near focus, based on corrected near vision of the user measured based on the first dioptric power; determining at least one third dioptric power to be applied to the focus adjustable lens, based on the first dioptric power and the second dioptric power; and controlling the focus adjustable lens based on the at least one third dioptric power.
